Aronia or aronia berries

Aronia melanocarpa is a perennial shrub native to North America.

Commonly eaten as a food in Russia and parts of Eastern Europe, black chokeberry's berries are high in antioxidants.

The plant is very resistant to low temperatures and frost.

The plant is very attractive to bees, wasps, butterflies and its berries are also interesting for birds and mammals.
