Self-sowing and easy to adapt both in terms of soil and exposure, the appearance of the purple flower heads of the stoppione cornflower is concentrated in the summer months, continuing until autumn. Particularly interesting for bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects.

The plant is characterized by the development in height, reaching the meter.

Rustic and perennial, the plant can also be combined in gardens with other species of Centaurea, such as the classic Cornflower.
