Pelargoniums are native to South Africa and, it seems that, to protect themselves from wild animals, they had to develop a range of intense and very different aromas; here the first thing that differentiates the varieties is the scent, then the leaves and flowers, which also come in a thousand shapes and colors.
Pelargonium sidoides is used in traditional medicine as a natural remedy.
The plant is characterized by silvery foliage and light purplish-red flowering.
