Ocimum tenuiflorum is a perennial basil native to India. Its leaves, stems and seeds are ingredient in many medicinal preparation.

Known to the Ayurvedic medical tradition as tulsi, it has been called the "Queen of Herbs" since the times of ancient civilization in India.

Holy basil is an erect shrub. Harvest young leaves from the top to encourage new growth.

You can handle potted holy basil. Protect the plant from the cold in the cold period.
