Achillea ptarmica is a robust plant, which does not fear drought or cold temperatures.
Manageable both in pots and in the garden, it forms cushions of compact vegetation. The small double white flowers that the plant produces during the summer are particularly interesting for bees and other pollinating insects.
Achillea millefolium is largely cultivated as an ornamental plant by many nurseries, but there's also a culinary use of leaves and flowers in making liquors and bitters. Common yarrow has been often used in the traditional medicine for its astringent effects.
