Achillea millefolium is widely spread as a spontaneous plant throughout northern Italy.

The plant prefers well-drained soil in full sun.

The aromatic leaves and inflorescences are used in the preparation of liqueurs. The dried flowers are also used in herbal medicine for their antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties. The flowering is particularly interesting for bees and other pollinating insects. Achillea millefolium is in fact considered a melliferous species.
