Perennial herbaceous native to North America, Echinacea purpurea is a very vigorous plant. The plant can reach over 80 cm in height.
Its purple flowers, particularly attractive to bees and other pollinators, appear in August. Echinacea has long been in use medicinally to improve resistance to infection.
Grow in sunny position and cut off dried flowers from the plant.
