Originally from South America, nasturtium is a herbaceous plant with a hanging or climbing habit. If in fact equipped with support, the plant tends to grow in height with branched stems.

It prefers bright and sunny exposures and requires regular watering, especially during the most intense periods of development and flowering.

The flowers period begins around april and continue profusely summer.

Flowers and leaves of garden nasturtium are rich in vitamin C, they're edible and ca be added in addition or as a decoration in many dishes. Its waterproof leaves have in fact peppery notes. Try some garden nasturtium leaves on your salads!
