Perennial herb with an upright habit, the wild thistle tfinds its habitat among rural areas and disturbed lands.
It was anciently used in the production of wool and is still used in some areas of Tuscany for the production of a typical fabric.
Its particular flowering it is also used as a long-lasting cut flower, even dry!
