Euforbia tropicale

A small shrub native to Central America, Asclepias curassavica offers delicate and profuse flowering from spring to late summer.

Roots, leaves and serum contained in the structure of the plant are used as a remedy in traditional Chinese medicine.

The root, for example, is used as a febrifuge; a compress of leaves is instead used as a healing agent.

The flowering of this easily cultivated species is visited by butterflies.
